The last company we saw on Tuesday was Synology. As ever, it had a variety of new consumer NAS boxes on display, the photos and details of which you can see in the photos. The DiskStation DS916+ is one of the more higher end models designed mainly for SMB purposes. The more consumer-friendly DS216+ II has had only a very small change in the CPU being used and is essentially the same as the first DS216+. Synology also mentioned that in terms of software it now has iOS and smart watch apps, as well as a properly unified Windows app.

There was also the new router, the RT2600ac which has been upgraded from three to four antennae and now uses a dual-core CPU and also has support for SRM 1.1. Also, one of the four LAN ports on the back can be turned into an extra WAN port and offers failover capabilities as well. It should be seen before the end of the year.
